How We Work

We begin by coming to your office…

• First, we meet with you—the business owner—to discuss your needs, customize a package for you and set goals for your success.
  
  
• Next, depending on your situation, we’ll set you up in QuickBooks or analyze your existing QuickBooks setup
  
  
• After that, we’ll tweak the software based on your needs
  
  
• Then, we’ll train you how to retrieve reports you need and your bookkeeper on daily QuickBooks procedures
  
  
• Finally, we troubleshoot as needed

Training:

• When it comes to training, we’ll make sure you and/or your staff is comfortable in their training process.
  
  
• We’ll give you the chance to make mistakes and the freedom to ask as many questions as you need to ask in order master your QuickBooks Program.
  
  
• At Muir & Associates, we’re practical about our training methods. Instead of trying to teach you with “sample problems and figures” we work directly with your actual books to make the training not only more comprehensive for you, but also productive for the time you are spending in training.
  
  
• Most importantly, we are patient.  We have been in our clients seats and we know what it takes to master this program. Whether someone is a “quick study” or someone needs more hand holding through the learning curve, our patience and understanding of the process is what makes Muir & Associates so unique.
  
  
• We’ll help you find ways to automate your books.  We’ve done the data entry and have been the business owner trying to assess the business, so we’re able to give you practical tips (keystroke shortcuts, ways to customize, where to order supplies, pitfalls to avoid). 
  
  
• We fill in gaps that aren’t answered in formal classes or in help screens and we’ll explain terminology and show you what features are best for your business.
